Women On Target Instructional Shooting Clinic

For over 25 years the Women On Target® Instructional Shooting Clinics have introduced thousands of women to shooting in a safe and welcoming environment. These clinics are not traditional classes – they are half- or full-day events in which women learn gun safety, explore shooting disciplines, refresh skills, and meet others who share an interest in shooting sports.

Who is Our WOT Clinic For?
This clinic is for women who already own guns and women who do not but are curious about them.  If you own a gun, bring it to train with.  If you are new to guns, we’ll provide the guns and walk you through this entire experience! For women new to guns, this is intended to be a low stress and super fun introduction to the whole topic of guns.  If you are a Pistol Shooter 1 alumna, a private pistol training client, or already own a gun, this clinic will be an awesome and affordable refresher and coaching session.

WOT Clinic Description
Classroom: The clinic begins promptly at 9AM at our Silverlake studio. We provide coffee and light snacks. After a bit of time getting to know each other, we take a deep dive into gun safety and handling followed by an opportunity to experience a variety of handguns. We show you how to hold, operate, aim, and fire them safely.

Lunch: Around 11:30AM, we head to Oak Tree Gun Club in Newhall (a 35-minute drive) for lunch together at their on-site bar and grill. The menu includes burgers, fries, a vegan burger, a turkey sandwich, breakfast options, and more. There’s something for everyone, but feel free to bring your own lunch instead.

Shooting: After lunch, it’s a short walk to the outdoor pistol range (also accessible by car). You shoot under the supervision and coaching of our attentive LOC staff and NRA Range Safety Officers, who will be right beside you throughout a safe and enjoyable live-fire experience.

Everything Is Provided:
We bring guns, ammunition, targets, hearing and eye protection for everyone.

Already own your own gun? We’ll give you as much autonomy over your firearm as you desire and coach you at your current skill level.

New to guns? We will assist you with as much of the gun handling experience as you want us to. For example, do you want to load the gun yourself? We’ll show you how. Alternatively, we’re happy to do it for you.

Duration: 1/2 day
Course Price: $175 per person (plus approximately $35 range fees and $40 ammo cost paid after the clinic is over.)
