Women On Target® 1/2 Day Shooting Clinic Description:
For over 25 years, The Women On Target® Instructional Shooting Clinics have introduced thousands of women to shooting in a safe and welcoming environment. These clinics are not traditional classes – they are half- or full-day events in which women learn gun safety, explore shooting disciplines, refresh skills, and meet others who share an interest in shooting sports. Left of Center Gun School is excited to partner with Women On Target® and host our very first Women On Target® clinic! All participants receive a Women On Target® new shooter gift bag free of charge from the NRA. (Contents may vary.)
Who is this clinic for? Women who already own guns and women who do not but are curious about them. If you own a gun, BRING YOUR GUN and train with it. If you are new to guns, we’ll provide the guns and literally walk you through this entire experience! For women new to guns, this is intended to be a low stress and super fun introduction to the whole topic of guns. If you already own a gun, this clinic will be an AWESOME refresher and coaching session.
What is involved? You come over to our Silverlake studio and we share a cup of coffee and have introductions all around. Then I’ll thoroughly cover gun safety and introduce you to a variety of different handguns. I’ll show you how to hold them, aim them, fire them, and be safe with them throughout it all. After a couple hours we’ll then all head over to Oak Tree Gun Club in Newhall (35 minute drive) and experience getting to fire them under my careful supervision. I’ll stand right next to you and walk you through the range experience. If you are gun owner, I’ll give you as much autonomy over your firearm as you desire and I’ll coach you at your current skill level. If you are brand new to guns, I will take on as much of the burden of the gun handling experience as you want me to. For example, do you want to load the gun yourself? I’ll show you how and you can do it. Or, I’m happy to do it for you.
