Stop the Bleed Course

Traumatic bleeding is one of the most preventable causes of death. In this hands-on course, you learn to apply a tourniquet and pack a wound to control severe bleeding until help arrives, using the same techniques adopted by every branch of the U.S. military. As part of the Department of Defense initiative launched in 2015, it’s now taught to civilians and police departments nationwide. Left of Center Gun School is proud to help bring this potentially life-saving skill to our community.

Course Description
This is an hour-long hands-on program where you will learn to stop traumatic bleeding by a variety of easy-to-learn methods. There is a short power point that accompanies the classroom teaching. You learn a couple of different ways to store and properly apply a tourniquet both to yourself and others. You also learn to pack a severely bleeding wound to effectively Stop The Bleed. Upon completion of the course, you receive a US DOD Stop The Bleed nationally recognized certification.
