Course Description:  In 2015 the United States Department of Defenselaunched a nation-wide initiative to get civilians trained to help save a lifefrom traumatic bleeding. Preventing bleed-out was a primary objective of TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) developed by the SEALS in the mid 1990’s. The Army then put TCCC into play with the 75th Ranger Battalion, and eventuallyTCCC was adopted by Delta Force. Currently, it is the universal SOP for all branches of the military and civilian law enforcement. The US DOD’s goal if for YOU too to know how to stop traumatic bleeding and save a life and Left of Center Gun School is helping the US DOD achieve that goal. Stop The Bleed is supposed to be a 1-hour course but I’m giving us 1.5 hours just to be safe 🙂 There is a short power point that accompanies the classroom teaching. This is a hands-on program where you will learn to stop traumatic bleeding by a variety of easy methods.  You’ll learn to store a tourniquet at the ready for self-application and you’ll learn to apply a tourniquet both to yourself and others. You’ll also learn to pack a severely bleeding wound with life-saving gauze. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a US DOD Stop The Bleed nationally recognized certification.
