Let’s discuss creating a new course date that does! I am totally open to adding a new date to the calendar. \n \nCourse Description: \nPistol Shooter Workshops are held in the spring and fall on a private range at Burro Canyon Shooting Park in Azusa\, CA.  Bring your own gun (and at least 2 magazines) or use one of ours.  You’ll fire upwards of 300 rounds from an overhead-protected shooting pavilion comfortably out of the sun.  \nIf you are currently a handgun owner or you intend to become one\, this workshop is one of the most beneficial training sessions Left of Center Gun School currently offers to our handgun clients.  The course focuses on taking your gun-slinger skills to a whole new level and is ultimately aimed at getting you confidently and fully independent with your handgun.  \nWe’ll start things off with an intense review of all your basics (command grip\, two-hand grip\, loading and indexing mags\, hold control\, sight picture\, breath control\, trigger squeeze\, and follow through). Then we’ll get into rapid mag changes\, immediate action drills for clearing the weapon when it jams in a fire fight\, one handed shooting\, rapid shooting\, and we’ll introduce you to point-shooting. (Point-shooting involves hitting man-sized targets at home defense distances without using the gun sights. Just “point” and “shoot.”) These are quick reaction defensive combat shooting skills you will want to have in a home defense situation.  \nBring your folding camp chair and a hearty lunch because we’ll take a relaxing lunch break at the midpoint. This is a crazy fun ½ day at the range! \nThis is the closest thing I will do this year to putting myself out of a job with you!  But you can always come back and retake the workshop to keep your skills up. \nLooking forward to working with you again 🙂 \nDavid Selmo

DESCRIPTION:Left of Center Trigger Press Workshop \nDate: May 17Time: 5pm – 7pm \nLocation: Silverlake studio \nPrice: $50.  (Registration is free to LOC Pistol Shooter 1 alumni.) \nDescription:  Left of Center Gun School will install a MantisX electronic trigger press sensor to one of our guns or directly to your gun if you bring it.  This will allow us to digitally measure the amount of jerking motion you create with each press.  With a little bit of coaching on my part\, and a whole bunch of dryfire trigger presses on yours\, together we can solve your trigger jerking and get you hitting bullseyes! (i.e. Together we’ll solve your “shot anticipation” problem… if you want to start using the correct gun culture terminology\, ha ha 🙂  In true LOC fashion\, we’ll have some refreshements and snackage. To Register: Text me at 3234929357 or press Contact to RSVP.  Let me know you want to join in on this May 17th trigger press workshop.  Show up whenever and stay as long as you like.  It’s an open door workshop for 2 hours.  Whoever shows up\, we’ll take turns around the room with the exercises.
